1975 – electrical engineer, Kharkov Institute of Radio Electronics (HIRE), specialty – Automated Control Systems, diploma with honors;

1979 – Assistant of the Department of Electronic Computing Machines;

1982 – candidate of technical sciences, specialty 05.13.01 – technical cybernetics and information theory, the theme of the thesis work: “Research and development of rational flow scheduling algorithms in urban gas networks”;

1983 – Senior Lecturer of the Department of Electronic Computers (HIRE);

1986 – Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Graphics (HIRE);

1988 – Head of the Department of Engineering Graphics (HIRE);

2008 – Professor of the Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics (K��������).

Educational activity

Training courses: electronic computers, computer peripherals, interactive systems and computer graphics, engineering and computer graphics, computer-aided design systems, the latest technologies and materials, computer graphics systems, introduction to the specialty, the basics of scientific research and the organization of science.

Research activities

Since 2002 – the scientific director of the research laboratory “Geoinformation systems and computer graphics”.

Scientific interests – automation of control of spatially-distributed objects; geoinformation systems and technologies; electronic cartography; automation of technological processes of media systems; automated planning and management of the development and operation of gas distribution systems.

Scientific and technical achievements: models and methods of constructing geoinformation analytical systems of cities and territorial entities (model of organization of data in the system, optimal system architecture, digital card development technologies, methodology for developing and implementing a system using WEB-technologies based on proprietary and free tool software ); models and methods for automating the management of technological processes of publishing and printing enterprises (methods for developing automation tools for prepress work, methods for solving the problem of optimal loading of technological equipment of a printing enterprise); models and methods of automated control of the development and operation of gas distribution systems.

In the framework of scientific research, he worked as a scientific director of 4 state budget and 15 inter-contract works, among them: «Research and development of generalized models of color reproduction», «Development of technology and tools for the creation of city-based geographic information systems based on open source software products», “Development of the concept and scheme of multimodal user interaction scenarios with the Tizen office application” (customer – representation of SAMSUNG in Ukraine), “Creation of a geoinformation system for monitoring the impact of hydrocarbon exploration and production projects on the socio-economic development of local communities in the Kharkiv region” (customer – representation of Shell Exploration and Production Ukraine Investments (IV) BV).

Supervisor of 11 candidates of science in specialties 05.13.06 – information technologies, 05.01.01 – applied geometry and computer graphics, among them: E.I. Grinchenko, O.L. Sitabdieva, I.A. Bozhinsky, A.V. Popov, D.V. Kostarev, K.O. Kobylnik, V.F. Chelombitko, I.S. Tabakova. Scientific supervisor of postgraduate students and masters.

Representative of K�������� in the International Circle of Educational Institutes for Graphic Arts: Technology and Management.

Social activity

Member of the editorial board of scientific and technical journals: “Технологія і техніка друкарства” (Kiev, NTUU “KPI”), “Комп’ютерні технології друкарства” (Lviv, UAP), “Вісник геодезії і картографії (Kiev)”. Member of the working group of the TK-103 Committee on the Standardiza­tion of Software for Geoinforma­tion Systems. Member of scientific and methodological subcommittee on specialty “186 Publishing and Polygraphy” at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
