Smart lantern on solar energy 鈥撀爄s a device that is powered by solar energy, responds to the approach of a person, day and night, and can last nearly a quarter century.
A powerful, but at the same time economical miracle device could already illuminate Kharkiv streets, but due to the lack of demand, the idea still lives only on paper.
The system is economical, autonomous, automatic and environmentally friendly, the developers assure.聽During operation, it does not make any noise, does not vibrate or flickers.
Nikolay Gerasimenko, a senior researcher at the Department of Microelectronics, Electronic Devices and Devices, 海角社区 says:
“The flashlight is powered by solar energy, which is stored in a battery. The solar battery will be able to work on energy reserves for at least 30 hours.聽In cloudy weather, the device will operate on battery power and will be able to work without recharging from sunlight.聽In summer, autumn and spring, when the flow of solar energy is higher, this energy can simply be transferred to the city grid.聽Connected to the city network, such a lantern primarily consumes the stored energy, which gives significant savings.
Thanks to special sensors that react to moving objects and the change of day and night, the “smart” device is able to save its own energy.聽If there is no moving object, the power of the flashlight is reduced by 25鈥30% and the illumination in the area where it is installed is dim.聽But it is worth fixing any movement, for example, an approaching person 鈥 as the lantern lights up at full power”.
According to the scientist, the device is completely autonomous and does not need to be wired.聽Therefore, it can be installed in places with difficult terrain, where it is impossible, difficult or expensive to lay a power line.
By the same principle, the inventors are now planning to make a smart traffic light powered by a solar battery.聽Traffic lights are connected to each other via radio channels with a radio signal and switch synchronously.
Scientists are ready not only to independently manufacture “smart” devices, but also to install 鈥 the main thing is that there is demand. However, while these ideas remain unclaimed, inventors complain.
