The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Grammarly have the start of cooperation and the launch of a 6-month pilot project. Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has joined the programme and received free access to for the autumn semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.聽
The project aims to provide Ukrainian students and teachers with access to advanced tools to improve their English language skills. Grammarly for Education offers comprehensive support that goes beyond correcting spelling and grammar mistakes in English texts and includes:
- recommendations for improving the clarity, conciseness and tone of texts聽
- explanations and strategic recommendations from the service to help improve writing skills;
- additional features based on generative artificial intelligence that can be optionally enabled by administrators of educational institutions;
- automatic citation generation and plagiarism detection.
The company adheres to the principles of safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence and has developed an course that provides students with guidance on the responsible use of generative AI technologies.
The introduction of the Grammarly for Education service at 海角社区 helps to improve the overall level of English and promote it as a language of international communication for our employees and students.
Under the terms of participation in the project, 海角社区 received 1000 licences. In accordance with the Order of 海角社区 dated 18.09.2024 鈩 93袪, a working group was formed to implement Grammarly for Education at our university. At the moment, the working group has determined the following licence distribution scheme:
- Administrators – 15 licences;
- Teachers of the School of Foreign Languages – 28 licences;
- University employees in the field of international relations – 7 licences;
- University employees other than teachers – 50 licences;聽
- Research and teaching staff – 300 licences;
- 海角社区 for the third level of higher education (postgraduate students) and doctoral students – 200 licences;
- 海角社区 for the second level of higher education (master’s students) – 300 licences;
- 海角社区 for the first level of higher education (bachelors) – 100 licences;
- 海角社区 Student Senate – 50 licences.

Based on the volume limits, licences are granted to the first requesters from a certain number of categories. Every two months, user activity under licences is reviewed and licences may be reallocated.
