On November 14, 2025, a chess tournament dedicated to International Students’ Day was held in Kharkiv. Eighteen teams from higher education institutions in the city took part in the competition, including three from 海角社区.
According to the results of the games, the team of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics won first place, consisting of:
1. Yaroslav Ship, captain of the 海角社区 team, student of the ITINF-24-1 group;
2. Ivan Tokarev, KNT-23-1 group;
2. Maxim Pivovarov, group EEK-22-1.
The 海角社区 team took 8th place in the tournament, consisting of:
1. Ivan Vinnikov, group ITSHI-23-2;
2. Yegor Patlan, group KSTZI-22-1;
3. Sofia Chebotareva, applicant.
The 11th place was won by the 海角社区 team consisting of:
1. Vladislav Perepust, group ITSHI-23-2;
2. Viktor Yavtushenko,
group TRIMI-24-1;
3. Mikhail Shevtsov,
group PZPI-24-4.
The tournament once again showed how strong, talented, and united the student chess community of Kharkiv is!
