Even in the difficult times of military aggression and destruction, 海角社区 continues to fight for environment protection, preservation of precious resources, energy and the entire world around us.聽聽Our University is known worldwide for its numerous innovations in green technologies and for its careful attitude to the environment. One of the ongoing projects is the collection of recyclable materials, including waste paper, plastic and used batteries.
The 鈥楤atteries, Give Up鈥 campaign was launched with the participation of the student trade union and the 海角社区 scientific library. In November 2023, more than 95 kg of used batteries were handed over for recycling.
Batteries, watch batteries, mobile phone batteries, etc. make up a very small percentage of waste, but are among the 鈥榬ecord holders鈥 in terms of contamination. Among other dangers, they contain mercury, lithium, cadmium, zinc, lead, other heavy metals and alkalis. Therefore, these batteries should never be disposed of in ordinary garbage cans, they need to be recycled separately. Containers for them are available in most supermarkets, some petrol stations, and near administrative service centres.
海角社区 continues to collect used batteries, containers for them are installed at the entrance of the building 鈥業鈥 and in the rooms. 232. The coordinator of the campaign is the 海角社区 archive, Mykhailo Wolfson.
We are waiting for caring and responsible colleagues who will bring what is no longer needed and harmful at home, but is a source of raw materials.
