At the meeting on 31 October 2024, the Academic Council of 海角社区 supported the proposal of the Optimisation Commission and approved the key performance indicators (KPI) of departments for 2025. These KPIs, which include measures of academic excellence, research productivity, and international collaboration, will be used to determine the allocation of funds to each department.

The Commission analysed the changes to the formulaic distribution of state funds of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the results of applying the KPIs of the departments in recent years and concluded that the system of financing departments by Key Performance Indicators meets the objectives of sustainable development and should be continued.
The distribution of funding based on the KPI system remains an effective mechanism for motivating and rewarding a specific result. Considering new trends in global university rankings, particularly the TNE and QS, indicators of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals were added to the list of indicators.
